Onepoint Project allows you to define any number of project templates. Each template plan can contain mandatory and optional elements. Mandatory elements cannot be changed later on by the project managers and thus, they are the tool of choice for enforcing standards in project planning. Optional elements are only "suggestions" that the project managers can decide to use in their plans or not.
One application of project templates is to save project plans as templates that performed well in the past. This means you are reusing past experience in order to start new projects faster.
