Onepoint's mission for release 9.1 remains building the most easy-to-use enterprise project management solution. However, Onepoint Project 9.1 makes a major step forward in areas such as formal project management and advanced project controlling. In addition, we have considerably improved the customizability of our award-winning EPM software.
For the first time, Onepoint Project now supports all elements required for implementing formal project management including an explicit project number on the basis of PMI and IPMA recommendations without the complexity of classical "heavyweight" PPM systems.
In formal project planning, deliverables-based planning is gaining more and more acceptance. Onepoint Project 9.1 adds support for deliverables to our planning tool complete with sub-deliverables, optional assignments to activities and due dates.
Formal project management requires at least four standard reports: Project Order, Work Instruction, Project Progress and Project Closure. The new Controlling Cycle Option allows all of these reports to be created in printable PDF format by simply pressing a button.
When many resources are assigned to a project, the project team can get quite confusing. By supporting virtual teams within the project team together with customizable project roles and function definitions, all responsibilities for the project can be clearly defined.
The redesigned controlling sheet provides multiple traffic lights for all project dimensions, numerous fields for comments and a separate project closure section. The new formal standard project reports take all controlling information automatically into account.
Based on the feedback of our customers to release 9, we have further extended the customizing options for Onepoint Project 9.1 including new custom report types, customizable visibility of tools, additional email notifications and much more.
